This position is responsible for the design, installation and continuous improvement of assigned machines and controls in order to maximize the safety, quality and operating efficiency of the plant. Strong project management and PLC programming skills are required. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, drives and servos is desired. CAD experience is not required, but engineers are responsible for ensuring that drawings are correct and initiating changes when needed. This role requires someone who is very self-directed and self-motivated. This role will extend other collaborative and innovative "thinkers" and team members, so it is not like working on an island, but this person needs to have a "plan" and "work the plan" based on his/her own directives and tasks. They will NOT be given tasks. This is ALOT of project management and trouble shooting. Must thrive in FAST PACED ENVIRONMENTS. Enjoying having a couple things going on in each phase of the project or problem solving. This is not a management position, but they do manager their own dept. of the plant.
Degree: BS in Electrical Engineering (no technology degree)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering including “hands on” PLC programming and project management
