The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling glass products to Insurance agents, Apartment Communities, Property Management Companies, Builders/Contractors, Real Estate Agents, Flooring Companies, Government Agencies, etc.
Goals will be achieved through effective time management, strong organization skills and relationship building. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role. With time and commitment top achievers for Century Glass can earn 70k plus per year, salary plus commission!
Responsible for conducting daily face to face sales calls to an assigned territory in the Columbia area.
Educate customers on our company’s products and services and explain the benefits of using a professional glass company.
Build and nurture a network of referring customer to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
Generate and develop new customer accounts through cold-calling and cultivating relationships through association memberships with local Chamber of Commerce’s and Industry Associations.
Correspond with customers through face to face contact, phones calls, emails and social media outlets.
Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate records; including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, marketing purchases and other documentation.
Participate in Trade Shows, Local Community Events, Fundraisers and Educational Presentations.
Support the marketing department by providing creative ideas to cultivate new target markets in the Columbia area.
Experience and Skills-
Degree in Business, Marketing/Management, or an acceptable combination of education and experience OR 2-3 years of customer service, retail counter sales or direct sales/marketing experience.
Professional image, selling style, and appearance.
Self-motivated, with an engaging level of positive enthusiasm.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
High level of integrity and work ethic.
Ability to work individually and as part of a company-wide team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service with a background in marketing/sales. A positive attitude, self-motivated, professional appearance and good listening skills are a must. This person enjoys meeting new people and networking with other businesses in the community.
Experience in the fields of Property and Causality Insurance, Property Management, Construction and/or Real Estate, is helpful, but not required.
