Factory or Manufacturing experience is a MUST!!
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) is REQUIRED
Salary: Up to $110k yearly depending upon experience, possibly more
Client is a world leading manufacturer of Factory Automation Equipment and Control Systems for a broad range of industries. We have an experienced team of skilled Systems Engineers with expertise in Automation Systems, Motion Control, and Coordinated Drive System design and programming. These systems use state of the art industrial PLCs, HMIs and Vision systems with integrated safety.
We are recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer with an engineering degree and demonstrated competence in programming and control system design. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals, willingness to work in a team environment and a passion to apply this knowledge to the development of automated industrial machines. A desire to travel to customer facilities for installation and commissioning of systems is a requirement. Travel is approximately 10 weeks of the year – depending on project mix and location.
· CLIENT Systems Engineers design Factory Automation and Coordinated Drive Systems including hardware integration and programming using off the shelf industrial automation hardware and drives.
· Work with Electrical Engineers to develop multi-sheet schematic packages using AutoCAD Electrical.
· Collaborate with Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize system performance and machine process state sequencing to provide intuitive machine controls.
· Provide training to users in the operation and diagnostics of the systems you developed
CLIENT is a Certified Solution Partner for Siemens using Simatic PLCs and HMIs in addition to Simotion Motion Controllers and Sinumerik CNCs. CLIENT is also an Automation System Integrator of Rockwell products with expertise with Logix PLCs, CIP Motion and Kinetix / PowerFlex 755 Drives with Integrated Safety.
This position will provide you with the opportunity to utilize and expand your competence with Siemens and Rockwell automation products, along with various other manufacturers of industrial drives, controllers, vision systems and robotics. Previous experience with different automation development environments is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years design experience in industrial machinery applications.
