Gregory Electric is hiring an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for Columbia and the surrounding area.
Project Managers have the primary responsibility of organizing the allocation of materials and labor for the profitable installation of a project based on the plans, specifications, and estimate of the scope of work. Experience in welding, process piping and rigging is required.
An associates degree in engineering, a four year bachelor of science degree from an accredited university, four years of estimating or assistant project manager experience or the equivalent work experience of two years of field, and four years of estimating and assistant project management training.
A mechanical license is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Qualify potential customers and select projects to estimate.
Active coordination and participation in estimation process to include reviewing specifications and contract documents, take-offs, estimate reviews and final pricing.
Deliver proposals to customers as requested.
Communicate responsibly, accurately, and respectfully with Customers and fellow employees.
Manage selected projects efficiently and economically. This may include: project scheduling, manpower allocation, material and equipment coordination, project meetings and reporting as required.
Assure safety and quality standards are met by visiting jobsites, assisting in training and completing performance appraisals as required for direct reports.
Monitor financial status of projects by analyzing cost reports, preparing pay estimates, and following up on project receivables and bonding reports as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
