Position Summary: Assists with installation and maintenance of production and building equipment as directed by Product Group or Team Leader. Performs general preventive maintenance duties adhering to all safety and standard operating procedures. Performs individual assignments as Team Leader may direct. Duties may involve simple, repetitive operations under specific detailed instructions and direction.
Removing chips from machines
Measuring, maintaining and keeping records of pH levels and coolant concentrations in coolant sumps for machine centers and chemical levels in tanks for parts washers
Lubricating all machines per preventive maintenance (PM) sheets
Monitoring and maintaining coolant concentration and pH levels in recycling system
General cleanup of leaks and spills on shop floor
Train on maintenance for CNC Equipment and general PM
Maintains machine coolant sumps to include:
Removal of existing coolant to be recycled
Disconnecting, removing sump for wash down, disassembly of sump and steam cleaning of sump and associated components; reassembly and returning sump to machining center; recharging machine sump with fresh coolant
Machine cleaning cycle using cleaning solution during PM activities
Assists PM team with machine PM activities.
Monitors and maintains oil, coolant and filter stocks in Oil Room and prepares requisition for approval to replenish stock as necessary.
Performs painting of plant and general housekeeping duties, as necessary
Picks up parts and operating supplies for the maintenance department, as necessary.
Operates different and/or multiple manual machines and equipment to support the production areas including painting and material handling as required.
May flex into production areas as required and/or assists in material handling / staging and/or painting as requested.
Accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance as it relates to the position.
Demonstrates knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations.
Adheres to 6S and organizational excellence objectives
- High school graduate or equivalent with general mechanical knowledge. Technical Associate’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- One (1) or two (2) years of preventive and general facilities maintenance experience.
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills with ability to learn and/or use e-mail and spreadsheet applications and industry specific software.
Forklift and Genie Lift certification required.
