A great opportunity exists at our Thermal Ceramics facility in Augusta, GA for an R &D Technician II. This position reports functionally to an engineer with the R&D department and administratively to the R&D departmental manager. The R&D Technician II role provides labor and technical assistance in support of process improvement, new product development and technical sales support for the NAFTA region
Essential duties and responsibilities
Perform testing and reporting in accordance with established procedures, or other protocols.
Capable of summarizing trials and test results via spreadsheet, word processor or other electronic format.
Must be proficient in basic math, reading and writing skills. This includes conducting calculations such as: multiplication, division, averaging and unit conversion.
Be able to communicate with others within the organization by email.
Interact with others within and outside the company in professional manner
Capable of occasional travel to other sites and customers.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in a production environment.

Our successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to operate in a technical manner. Associates Degree in a Technical Field or experience in the form of mastering test procedures and running trials is required. Technician work experience and statically process control experience are desirable, while data entry skills and basic report writing are required.
